Pavements form the backbone of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s transportation infrastructure and are essential in fully unleashing these benefits. We have already come a long way in improving and advancing our current designs and performance prediction of pavements continue to make these advances mindful of important environmental, social and economic issues that we face today. Better ride quality, safer roads, reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions and longer service life are among the tangible benefits that derive from research into pavement properties, lower energy in mixtures production and recyclability of existing pavements.
